He completed a Bachelor’s Degree, a second Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Bible Theology from the International Bible Seminary of Orlando, Florida. He was conferred a Doctor of Divinity Degree from the Evangelical Theological Seminary from Dixon, Missouri in 1994.
Bishop was a gifted preacher and teacher of God’s Word. He was a well sought -after speaker for churches and conferences. With his wife, Minister Rose Marie Bruno of 53 years by his side, they hosted a vibrant television ministry that began in 1980. It was broadcasted and aired throughout the Tri-State area each week on cable networks. They also posted weekly encouraging messages on Facebook and YouTube. Bishop was a family man and together, they raised four children, have thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He realized his dream of a Christian School and in 1986, the Abundant Life Academy debuted. Today it is a school of high academic excellence with a strong emphasis on the Word of God. It is culturally diverse with a student body of well over 400 students, grades Pre-K to 12th.
Under Peter Bruno Ministries, Bishop Bruno provided a fresh view of foundation principal, faith alive ministry and spiritual order in the church. This ministry included the Evangelistic field, the training of spiritual Pastor’s Sons and Daughters under
Abundant Life Ministries International, as well as satellite churches and leaders in the overall church.
In his 66 years of ministry, Bishop Peter Bruno was a pastor, counselor, pastoral mentor, spiritual father, church planter, husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather; a man of vision, integrity and principled. He was a man with a passion for God, a heart for the church and could not be stopped in saving the lost for Christ. This was our beloved Bishop…a True General of the Faith that has impacted the world for Jesus!
